I don't regularly wear a helmet but when I do I like the Gmax line. I have two. A half helmet with the dark flip down visor and the modular with more features than I could ever hope for; including the dark inner flip down visor.
Does your gmax half with flip down visor keep the rain out of your eyes? That is the helmet I have been considering.

Has anyone been in the rain with the GMAX 55 half helmet with drop down visor or the Scorpion EXO 100 with drop down visor? I am looking for a real testimony. I think I would like to buy one just for rainy weather. I don't like or want a full or modular helmet.

First off, I had to laugh when I saw your little censored guy on my previous post. :) Next, I can't comment on the GMax, but this is the helmet I have gone to as a compromise between carrying 2 helmets on trips (half helmet and full face helmet). http://www.leatherup.com/p/HJC-Open-Face-Helmets/HJC-Helmet-IS-33-Black-Helmet/59682.html

I was in a hellacious rain storm through west Texas on my way back from Florida and the helmet kept all the rain out of my eyes...but I had the external visor down. The flip down visor will keep the water from hitting your eyes, but really nothing else. You will still have rain in your face below the visor.
Nothing personal Mark. I bought that helmet for my wife last year because she wears contacts and needs the extra wind protection but I was hoping to find some sort of resolution using a half helmet. I might have to get my scuba goggles out!
