I just installed the performance air filter for the Cross Country but it didn't look like it had been oiled like the K&N filters on all my other vehicles. Should I take it back out and oil it? I would clean the K&N filters once a year usually and re-oil. What do I do with the Victory item? There were no instructions in the box...

Can you smell any oil on it? Touch the folds - any oil on the finger? I used a K&N on my GL1500 for years. It was terrible to get to under all that plastic so it went unwashed for a few years between washings. The claim is it filters better as it gets dirtier but I suppose there's a point where the filtration is so good that not even air is thin enough to pass through it!
