Thankfully the two main culprits are gone from Polaris Indian. But sadly, there doesn’t seem to be anyone left at Polaris Indian with an original thought or an original idea. Their ‘design team’ has been gone for a while now.

All this continues to make me more and more thankful to have my CCT.

My Hammer was $4,750 with ~9.100 mi on the clock.....that's a LOT OF BIKE for $5k. Without some really great stuff on it....and I know the good stuff....Ohlins, Brembo....it just ain't worth it. Not interested in Indian or anything else Polaris has to offer. They had some mojo and chose to go another way. If my experience with Buell tells me anything, this forum (and others) will keep the brand alive, and parts will be available...though they may increase in price. But hey, they don't break often, right? Harley finally got wise, re-instituting their parts agreements for Buell becuase it made them REAL money. There is a cult following, and it is still very alive and well.
Polaris uses many of the same vendors for Indian parts and accessories as they did for Victory. It made no sense at all for Polaris to have their 60% off MSRP fire sale of anything and everything in their Victory accessory inventory. Sure, some of us got awesome accessories at great pricing. But that was a short lived event. It costs Polaris next to nothing but a little warehouse space for them have kept the Victory accessories available through their "10 year" promise for parts.

First Polaris ran the bus over their entire Victory customer and vendor base. Then they backed that bus over these two groups. So, yea, many in the Victory supplier line and the customer base have already been burned twice by Polaris.

PS - I don't see Polaris ever selling the Victory Motorcycles name or any of their Victory related intellectual property. It's simply a dead brand, to them. To me, and 1000's upon 1000's of owners, Victory Motorcycles is as alive as the motorcycle we own.
