I would say yes on the warranty coverage. That sounds like a warranty issue to me and it's a two-year warranty.

Yes, I just toured the factory last week. The Scout and the Octane are different lines but next to each other. Workers are only temp when they first start. If they pass the probation they become full time Polaris employees.
And that's the best news I've heard all week. Good to hear that the workers become permanent. I'll bet that was an interesting tour.

I took mine to Freedom Powersports in Hurst where I bought mine. I should have mine back tomorrow or Thursday. When I called to schedule for the drop off, he had already dealt with the issue before.
My starter is getting a bit snarky as well. Plus I noticed a slight oil seepage on the left hand side, aft-most bolt of the crank case.

I bought mine in Hurst as well. Gawd, I dread having to take it there again for repairs. That service manager is so annoying to deal with.

What tha?!
I just talked to the service department. They ordered me a new starter, sight unseen, after I explained the history. Also, I'm to send them a photo of the oil leak so they can order a gasket and then send photos of the faded Victory saddlebags. Maybe things have improved in the four months since I've been there.

39 degrees this morning and my starter worked just fine. There's just no telling. I guess that's why they are replacing them.

My starter is in and I'll take the bike in for that next week.

Getting the Victory saddlebags replaced as well. For the record, at $449 they are complete crap. Not only did they fade in the sun in less than a week, but the rubber parts are crumbling apart in just five months on the bike.
