Just a quick introduction of myself since this site came recommended to me.
New rider here with a new to me 2005 Victory Vegas. I took the riders course at the local technical college a few weeks ago. Passed that OK but knew I needed my own bike to really learn to ride.
Went shopping all over the internet and Victory kept on grabbing my attention. Really wanted a Kingpin, but finding a good one for a good price wasn't easy.
I came across this beauty, 2005 Vegas with 19,400 miles. Chrome upgraded everything it seems. Got it for what seems to be a fantastic price as well.
Took a good friend up to help instruct me at a truck terminal for a day, then some country roads, some interstate, then some county highways.
I wasn't always willing to ride, it was really windy on the way back, but I got a lot of encouragement to keep on trying. As the miles rolled on I got more settled but still need to work on my leans and turns.
Still have a lot to learn, but getting good support from my riding friends.
I've named it Ricky. I know most vehicles are named girls but I'm riding it, so mine's a boy!!!.
Glad to be a part of the Victory family now. Just need some driver floorboards like the Kingpin.
And before you yell at me, the celebratory beer was after I got the bike home!!!
