Two weeks ago i have installed the lloydz air breather, VFC 3, octanes for exhaust. I drove it to strugis and it ran like a champ all the way up there. Two days into strugis the bike starts to act up. It sarts to back fire more then normal and seems to be fluttering. Any of you know what might cause this? I changed the plugs and still NO GO

I would check all the connections for the VFC as well as the battery terminals first. If that doesn't help perhaps you got some bad gas and should dump it and fill fresh. I always go for the cheap/simple solutions first.

+1 on the wiring, I have a Jackpot with the same setup(different pipes) and I noticed it started running like crap and the oil cooler temps on my left foot were way hotter than normal, found the ground wire broke off just enough that it lost power to the VFC3, it had defaulted back to the factory ecu tune which is too lean. I did use the tune suggested by Lloyd to start from and the bike runs spot on but have yet to dyno it.

BTW where in Kansas are you?

have you got a tune? All those upgrades on an EFI bike are detrimental if the ECU isnt tuned to the new upgrades. Im assuming your using a Map from the vfc from the web? maybe its a bad tune?
The bike was running perfectly for days, that means the map or tune is good to my way of thinking. More likely a ground wire or exhaust leak problem.

well after removing the seat and tank and checking all the wires i found nothing. I unbolted the exhaust and tightened it all back down. I put everything back on and fired it up and still ran like crap. The wrap on the exhaust started to smoke a little im guessing from a little fuel i spilt. I turned it off and check the exhaust over to only find out the O2 plugs were gone. ONly thing i can think of is they vibrated out. Anyone know what size of threads they might be so i can get a bolt and put in it?

18 x 1.5mm according to Witchdoctor's site. Says they are out of stock on there though.

Only ever heard of 18x1.5mm and 12x1.25mm for o2 sensors.... did you measure to get that thread size? I ask because the ID of a 18x1.5mm female thread is 16.5mm

we double checked it with a digital thing lol and that is what it came out to be. I took the exhaust to a guy that works on bikes here local and asked he had something and he measured it and that is what it came out at so ya. Im just going to get ahold of the company i bought them from and see if he can sell me just the plugs. I will double check tomorow on the size again but that is what he got

If they measured the hole with say a digital calipers and got 16mm or a bit above that I'm guessing it's 18x1.5mm since the thread size is based on the outside diameter of the threads and you would be measuring the inside diameter. I'm a machinist by trade so dimensions are what I do lol. I'm sure the supplier of your exhaust could hook you up, but I hate to see a guy without his wheels for any longer than necessary if you could just buy plugs at an auto parts store. Hope you're on the road again soon.

haha thanks for the advice cause im not to sure i would of checked that. Wish would of done that first before pulling the tank and checking all my wires
Well at least you got to spend quality time with the bike and it didn't cost anything. Unless you're like me and figure "it's torn apart anyway I may as well buy (insert upgrade part here) so I don't have to tear it apart again later" haha
