Can anyone help me. I have ordered a new 8Ball Vision and will take it apart when it gets here for customization. Does someone know a supplier of LED taillight bulbs orreplacement for the Vision? I plan on blacking out the len's and want it to be as bright as possible.

That's because the white hot filaments only give off white light. There is no way to get an incandescent bulb that glows red. LED's can be made to give off light in any color by changing the chemicals used to make it. Even though the LED's are not as bright, they are more efficient when placed behind a red lens. Red lenses make white bulbs look red by stopping all the other colors. That wastes the power used to make the colors.

The below is extracted from:

Transparent materials are materials which allow one or more of the frequencies of visible light to be transmitted through them; whatever color(s) is/are not transmitted by such objects, are typically absorbed by them. The appearance of a transparent object is dependent upon what color(s) of light is/are incident upon the object and what color(s) of light is/are transmitted through the object.

Not correct. The flasher on the Vision is an electronic module which senses the amount of current draw and if it thinks it detects a bad bulb (less current) it starts to flash at 120 flashes per minute instead of 60, or about twice as fast. If you change ALL the bulbs to LED, it still flashes at 120FPM. With LED's this looks very nice and is very visible since the LED's snap on and off so fast. I actually prefer it and think it is more visible. If you just put in LED's without the equalizer you reduce the load on your alternator by 5 to 10 Amps, depending one the LED's you use. You can use the equalizers but you get a lot of heat trapped inside the fairing or fender well (since the equalizers just turn the extra power into heat to make the flasher happy) and the only advantage is the lights snap on and off quicker.

That's yet another odd thing on the Vision. I've been running all 10 lights (6 rear 4 front) as LEDs for about a year now and not had a bit of trouble. As with most electronic stuff, all you can really say is that given what we know, and assuming all things we know are correct, that shouldn't happen - but, since I've heard of several odd situations regarding the use of LED lights, there's obviously something the factory knows that we don't.
