At work today, I am driving to a job and ahead some distance in the left turn lane at a stop light is a Truck with smoke/steam coming from under the hood and wheel wells. As I watch and approach, I see a young man (about late 20's) step out, stand there for a few seconds looking at the steam, then bending down to look under the truck to see all the water under the truck. I can see clearly what has happened by now cause I'm just to his right and behind stopped at the light. Then he does it........He walks to the back of the truck and starts looking around under the back as if to locate the source of the water leak. At first I don't believe it, then I break out in laughter. Light changes and I move on thinking, "Sorry, son, won't find the radiator back there."

I'm sure he'll know where it's at the next time

My father taught me that every lesson is bought and paid for, usually not with cash.

Maybe he just thinking that if I play dumb and act like I don't know the radiator has boiled, maybe this nice old fellow on the weird looking bike will stop and lift the bonnet (that is the hood for you yanks), and that way I wont get scalded by the steam...... Just thinking out loud is all, enjoy your day..... :angel4:

Maybe he hit something....

or not.

I am amazed at how many people have no clue as to how their vehicle works. Manditory to understand the working of the vehicle no, but a basic understanding should be part of the process.

"..bought and paid for...." Ask my how I know why you shouldn't try and check the radiator cap on a hot engine.. go ahead....
I'm game, how do you know not to check the radiator cap on a hot engine?......

I think the same with computers but you will be supprized how many people can barely turn it on and run zero anti virus or firewalls. this goes for phones as well smart phones are computers to remmber people :)

I totally agree. I believe that a lot of people today have the throw away mentality, if it breaks throw it out/sell and get a new one. Sad that so many youths have nobody to teach them the basics on anything not just vehicles.
