Last month or so, I reported my local dealer, Ride Now Powersports of Longwood, Florida shut it's doors. I was on their website a few days back and seen that the location was back on. I went for a little ride this morning and stopped over there. They were closed but they have re-opened. From popping my head up to the window they have cut down on their inventory, from about 300 bikes to maybe 60 and I could only see 2 Victory's. But hell atleast their back open, that's a step in the right direction...

It's just strange that they shut down without notifying their customers and then reopened the same way? When they went out of business I had about $400.00 on order that I paid for and had to go through the credit card company to get my money back.
I am going to check it out on Tuesday, I am curious if it is the same corporation or a new owner that bought it like a franchise. I really hope it is a new owner, it is so much nicer dealing with people in power then a large corporation.

300 down to 60..baby steps. Someone wisely not over extending themselves.
I have vendors calling me weekly with special prices tl the end of July. I simply reply that I will not buy just because it's on sale...(a subject for classes to be taught to women through out grade and high school..), I only buy what I can pay for within terms and hopefully dake advantage of an additional 2% off for payment within10 days. I don't want them calling me at 45-60 days asking for payment.

Good luck with the place. Hopefully they have a tech that IS familiar with Victory and knows the correct temperature the fan kicks on...

I guess scaling down has to be done but I would rather them do that with the amount of manufacturers instead of models. Motorcycles for allot of people are an impulse buy, how do you get them when you only have a couple of bikes from each brand. They rep 7 different brands of motorcycles plus 2 brands of watercraft and then the off road stuff. Just seems like to many lines.
As far as the tech goes, they didnt have one before (he quit when he graduated college)so this can only improve if they get one. The Vision may need a more qualified tech, but a good metric wrench should be able to fix anything on my Vegas.

I envy you. The nearest dealer to me that has a service department open on Saturday is more than 110 miles away. I had to drive 310 miles to Hazard, KY from Salem, WV to buy my 2014 Cross Country.
