New to victory, I bought my 08 KP about 5 weeks and 1500 miles ago. I must say I absolutely love the bike.
The only negative thing about the bike is the noisy drivetrain . I hear all kinds of noises coming out of the bike -- and not from the exhaust.

The bike only had 1900 miles and was completely stock except for a mustang solo seat when I got it.
Been enjoying making some changes --put on swept pipes (I know they suck for performance but I really like the look and sound), timing gear, torque tubes with iav and a vfcIII. I couldn't be happier with the performance and was surprised how well it handles, but Im having a hard time getting over the noises coming from the motor/trans.

From reading the forums it seems that it is quite common for guys coming from Hondas and other brands to be surprised at the noises but I cant help but wonder if mine sounds like the rest or if there is something wrong.
I changed the oil when I first got the bike so I know it has good oil and the right amount. It performs beautifully and has no sympoms of any issues other than the noises.

Does anyone have or know of any sound clips from other victories that I might be able to compare to ?

If the mechanical noise bothers you so much, why did you buy it?
I wear a 3/4 helmet... blocks a lot of the high frequency sounds.
Yeah, so it sounds like there's no oil in it... is what it is.
-- I bought it because its a great bike and a great value imo -- as I said -- overall very very happy , performance was good , even better now the the mods Ive done, handles surprisingly well due ot the low center of gravity. -- just having a hard time accepting that the the noises are normal. I keep wondering if something is wrong. I try to take good care of my stuff and when I suspect something is wrong I fix it.
Hopefully once I have a few thousand more miles on it and I can be confident there is nothing wrong I wont worry about it anymore. From all of these responses it sounds like they are in fact normal.
Your comment "Yeah, so it sounds like there's no oil in it... is what it is" actually makes me feel much better about it .

Thanks for all of the responses -- it does help.
