Ok, 5 of us riding, I'm running cleanup..

We were riding down some beautiful roads, looking to my left, the lake, clouds, and hills, so I'm looking and slowing down, speed back up look again.... Well I look again, next I heard a few of the bikes bang the throttle, so I look back and here I am cruising, sitting back one hand(two fingers) on throttle, I hit it, and here comes a trooper, I pass and turn on hazards pull over...

He passes me, goes to the guy up front(they all slowed down when they saw me pull over with hazards) and he puts his lights on.... Then backs down the road behind me... This is where I got confused.

Cop: is there a problem with your bike?
Me: no
Cop: are you with them?
Me: yes
Cop: ok move up
Cop: license, anything wrong with your license, insurance, no warrants
Me: nope I'm clean

The cop grabs everyone's licenses..

Cop: (to head guy) how fast do you think you were going
Guy1: 80-85
Cop: try 93
Cop: the two behind you 85 and 86
Cop:(pointing to me) I dont even know what your were doing!
Me: WTF.......
Did yall get certificates to remember the event?

My thing is, why did he ask if there was something wrong with my bike, was he wondering why I wasn't speeding with the rest of them? Doubt I would have gotten an invite to the ball, cause I didn't do anything..... Lol
Probably just a little ball busting.....or bike busting. He was probably a HD rider.

Pretty tasteless comment from a guy who isn't a black dude.
o_O But it's ok for the media to say it, and blacks of course.

I say F the one sided racist BS! I'm tired of being a called a racist just because I'm white, or worse, a white cop. All other races get to say what they want and it's considered "pride" but if I speak out it's racist. It is a stupid double standard.

I don't believe that your tower of White Priveledge has to be that tall, otherwise you would know that you are in it. Just the fact that you have the priveledge of looking at things solely from a perspective of consequence is enough. My parents shielded me as much as they could so I shared in that priveledge too ....until 6th grade. And I grew up in California!
13% of Americans are of African descent. All things being equal, 13% of the population in management positions should be African American, 13% of people in college should be African American, 13% of police officers should be African American, and here is the kicker, 13% of people in prison should be African American. I don't have to tell you that all things are not equal. There can only be two reasons why this is true: There is a problem ( or problems) with the system or African Americans are inferior. I'm not going to ask you where you stand on this. You seem like a stand up guy, and as such, had you known, you would have been more thoughtful of your remark. Now you know.
I see you took math lessons at CNN. Your equation would only work if each segment of the population did everything the exact same. The truth is more blacks commit crimes than other races. So that throws off your numbers right there. Under your equation almost every thing here in Houston would be Hispanic.

You want to get to the dirty of it? What I'm seeing in the black community is a total lack of parenting and life lessons being learned young. Over these last few generations kids are having kids who were not properly raised. Repeatedly I find the 80-90 grandma being stolen from and her house overrun and destroyed by her own family. She tries her best to keep things in order but the heathens can not be stopped. Twice last week I had a 90 year old grandma in the station reporting her granddaughter stole from her. She stole her money, phone, and car. I don't know about y'all but I never did any such thing. I make it a point to always have a gift for my grandma no matter what financial condition I'm in.

The problem there is the kids having kids are loading the black community with out of control youth that grow to be out of control adults. They don't work their way up at a job, buy a house, have a nice Victory. They suck the life from the community, learn how to cheat and steal from the system, and many times fill the gaps screwing up. I'm truly scared for the areas I've been working. If things don't change we will have many more places like Chicago.

I'm still waiting for the so called activist to step up and call their communities out. They are tearing themselves down and if there is not a change it will only be worse.

So your argument is that black people are worse. I get it. You have this perspective from your job and what the media has told you. (Interesting how people believe the media when it suits them.) When you pull me over I will keep my hands at 10:00 and 2:00 on the steering wheel unless instructed to do otherwise, give you limited eye contact so not to provoke you, and end answers to all questions with either "officer" or "sir". I will move only as directed and repeat the instructions given to me as I follow them. Because all you know from looking at me is that I'm black.
Take it how you please. I don't remember the last time I watched the news. They're in it for ratings, which brings the money.....not the news.

To be clear I didn't say blacks are worse. I said they are having a quickly expanding population with little guidance and no responsibility which is going to make the "race" problem worse.

I'm not black but that doesn't mean I can't see the issue. I've been dealing with it for years. Seeing it daily gives me a unique position compared to most.

Equivilence based on skin color is bigotry? Funny, I thought superiority based on skin color was bigotry. There is no "secret knowledge". Look at the best schools in the country, look at where they are located, look at the majority of students who attend them. This Sat score strategy is an attempt to fix the inequity of access to college for blacks. It is a poor one but it's better than doing nothing. A better solution would be to fix the school, not the test. Of course, that will cost more money. I agree, you should expand your vision to look at all the strategies in place to get blacks to 13%. And then look to see if they are enough to reach that goal. I agree that the US should be a meritocracy. Unfortunately, it has never been in the past. How about we start when the playing field is equal for all?
This goes hang in hand with what I said earlier. Do you know how many calls we get and reports we do for kids skipping school and running away?

When asked have they done this before it is usually away a yes. Then when asked what did you do to discipline them you'll get a blank stare.

Yes, I agree that schools could be better but if the kids don't go out don't learn while they're there it doesn't matter.

There are plenty of will educated blacks. Why? Because they applied themselves and earned it.

You can say that because you haven't lived it. That's a priveledge. In fact, it's a priveledge to go on about why the black community is in the shape it is in without living it. How about we stop the generalizations of who gets called a racist and for what. If you believe that you are some how superior (or that other races are less than) simply because of race, then you are a racist. It really is that simple.
You know once I lived in a small country town that was primarily black. I was the only white kid in my class. I didn't mind and we all got along. We didn't have the problem you see in the inner city. This was because these were hard working folk with responsibilities and proper raising. They may not have had much but they had manners and class.

What about the other race of students that attend the same school with the same horrible learning curriculum? Not every race gets the extra points added to their score it's based off of skin color actually better yet what little box you check off during the test. So you are correct that they need to fix the schools not the test.

You claim that this fix was to increase the number of blacks in college. Why can't those kids get the study material they need? How do the other students from the same school make it into college? I believe kids not getting into college is mainly due to laziness (money set aside).
It goes farther than that. I know a black officer that was a back manager before being a LEO. He told me that the bank would easily approve a home loan for a black even when the bank knew they would default. This was because there was a ton of paperwork to do if they were denied and the backlash to deal with from the customers. When I asked about denying a loan for a white he laughed and made it very clear that was easy and nobody cared.

Uh, actually I have lived it. I'm the product of a mixed marriage (father black, mother white) in the 1950's. I grew up in Harlem and the South Bronx and still live in a predominately minority community. My wife is Puerto Rican and my 15 grandkids range from vanilla white to deep, dark chocolate. I speak from first hand experience as well as hearing the stories from my father of racism in the segregated north. There is NO comparison with respect to the obstacles racism presented in the early 1900's versus today in the 21st century.

Unfortunately 70% of African-American kids are being raised in single parent homes, usually without the discipline of a father. I've raised four kids and it's an extremely difficult task when you have two parents. And while there are exceptions to the general rule (Ben Carson would be an outstanding one) a common factor with respect to school dropouts, contact with law enforcement and incarceration is being raised in a single parent home. These come to school unprepared by parents to receive an education. Government programs will never be a substitute for having two parents in the home setting a good example and providing discipline.
Four to six kids with four to five different fathers is sadly common. But this has a reason as well. Each kid is a check. I once meet a mother with six kids who told me her 2 year old was a bipolar schizophrenic. This was nothing more than an increased check amount. As I dug deeper I found each kid had some illness or mental disorder for which each got a check.

All this talk about the BBC has me questioning myself.

I currently own two black motorcycle and have had four in my life. One I sold and one I traded.

Does that mean I'm not racist?

Or,

Does it make me racist?

The fact I owned and traded them is my bother.

yes I vote yes to both and the BBC concurs
Damn it! I guess it's official.

But now if I paint my bikes white I'll still be racist because people will say I'm saying I'm superior. So what color do I go to?

Purple? Taken

Yellow? Taken by Half Crazy and I certainly can't be associated with him.

Blue? Well then I'll be pro law enforcement which equals rasict.

Red? Crap! My truck and boat are red. That's just too much.

Silver? I think that's safe!

Silver it is. Silver with silver flake!

My dad as a LEO made so little we qualified for free lunches at school. My dad didn't accept that and instead worked so many extra jobs I only remember him in a uniform while I was kid.

My mom didn't graduate high school. She got her GED took some courses and made something of herself the hard way. She came from nothing. She started in sales and is now the store manager of a high end retail store.

As a kid if I wanted something I had to earn it. I had to work for my allowance and had to pay my own way to do many things I wanted. You want to drive? That's fine but gas, maintenance, and insurance was on me. This is why I take pride in what I have and why what I have is nice. I earned it so it means allot to me so I take care of it.

you all don't get a ticket at 20 mph over speed limit. but I got pulled over at 65 in a 70 mph zone on interstate. cop went across median from southbound lanes to get me. fo what???? my seat belt! yup, comes all the way across 4 lanes of interstate to get me at 65 mph, for a seatbelt! yet , y'all get away with tearing up the road! cops!
Must be his hot button. Maybe he had worked many fatalities so the seatbelt is important to him.

We all have things we prefer doing for one reason or another.

I for example could care less about traffic stuff. If I see something especially stupid I might stop them for a tongue lashing but you have to get me to a special level of pissed to get paper.

he ruined my day was nice out, was chillin' but he just had to come over to my lane to give me a ticket for a seat belt. I also used to tell the truth to cops, never did me any good. always got a ticket no matter what. cops in Arkansas, are more on a power trip. I do believe. I know cops have it tough, but they sometimes don't do themselves any favors. I see them as a necessary evil. sorry, just bein honest.
With all those bikes you have and on a nice day you were in a cage! You deserved the ticket. Lol!

I once had a leo tell me that he had 10 yrs on the force [Missouri state cop] and actually said he had never made a mistake. well, after that, I just said , well I have worked for 8 yrs. at at&t, and I guarantee you I have made a mistake orr two, took my ticket, and left. didn't know I was talkin to jesus Christ himself!
Reminds me of a new boot jailer I had a run in with. I brought my suspect down and he went into the jail. This jailer comes out with an attitude and says "you missed this!" I got worried that I missed something important like a knife. The jailer then hands me a shard from a crack pipe.

I laughed, which irritated Mr. High-strung. I said I thought it was something important. He then snaps off with "I've never missed anything!"

I again laughed and asked one simple question.

How would you know?

He got a puzzled look and stormed back into the jail while I laughed some more.
