Best thing to say if/when an officer asked you how fast you were going "not fast enough you caught me". I did that once and did not get a ticket.

Last night on the way home it was raining and of course I was going a little over the limit (80MPH in a 55). I never saw the officer so he pulls me over (did not ask me the question I wanted); he states "you know on two wheels you have a lot less traction in the rain". I responded by yes sir about 20% less; he responded well then do you think you should be going 20% slower. I says to him I was going 20% slower than normal. He laughed and I received no ticket.

I always try the humor route and it works most of the time.

he ruined my day .

Since you are the one that broke the law how is it the officer ruined your day? I do not agree with the seat belt law but I wear mine so I do not get a ticket.

I am confused on how this is the cops fault for doing his doing. Is it your job to decided what laws he picks and chooses to ignore.
