Whoa now hold your horses. I'm not going anywhere.

My local dealer has a 2014 Havasu Red Cross Country with ABS for under $12,000. It only has 6700 miles on it and has stage 1 with tri-ovals.

Seems like a hell of deal. He's going to let me know what he can do on my Gunner for trade in.

Don't know if I'm looking for someone to convince me to get it or not. Just thought I'd mention it and see what response I get.

I'm on vacation and won't be able to go by there until the week of the 5th. Lots of time to sit and think about it.

Sounds like a great deal to me.

Do it!

.......if the numbers make sense.
My wife is even on board with it. She wants to take long trips but the Gunner just isn't that kind of bike.

Even if the numbers are good, I love my bike for the raw visceral feel it has.

Internal conflicts all day with this one.

I'll find out Monday if he can give me enough on trade in.

Not to mention all I've done to mine already

You don't have to convince me that having two Vics in the garage is the answer. After all.... One is none!

Haha! That all comes down to the budget. It would be a non issue if I could afford it.

You got that right. I wish I had a X1 too. But three bikes just ain't gonna fly right now. Maybe in a couple years I can find a nice garage queen X1 to add to the family.

No use in dreaming about it just yet but it's all I've thought about all day.

I'm down in Jupiter FL and bikes are everywhere so it's hard not to.

You found a good deal on a great bike AND your wife is onboard with it... where is the problem?

If you can make it work, keep the Gunner and add to the fleet.

I knew I had to move forward on it when she asked me, out of the blue, if he had gotten back with me on trade value.

One of my favorite thing about riding is having her on back. This would allow us to really spend some time on 2 wheels together.

The money just isn't there to have both.

I used to have a Highball with PCV and bassani turn outs. I get having a need for the visceral. I haven't missed it since I put mini apes, PCV, exhaust, air filter and timing wheel on my XC.
You can have both the hot rod and qualify time. Get the XC.

Sounds kind of high on the price. Bought a brand new 0 mile 2017 XC in the Nuclear Sunset Orange for $14,000, yeah no stage one but have added it since then for $700, again brand new.
That's an awesome deal!

They have any more? Lol!

You already got my thoughts on it.

Household 6's interest in tagging along changes it a little though.

While I doubt the numbers will be in your favor I would still think about it if she is serious about tagging along more.

Ride a few XC & XCT's then get back on your Gunner, you'll feel it. If you can live with it, go for it. Don't let them sell that stage one crap like it's a gift from God though. Slip ons, tuner and filter will outperform it everytime.

I hope you get what you're looking for on the trade but if you don't I suspect he may have a little wiggle room on his end,,, call his bluff ! but in the end go with your gut ,,, sounds like a nice upgrade for you both :)

I don't think so... I bought mine within 30 days following "The Announcement" Lots of Dealers Freaking then, I took advantage.
Yea, I saw some crazy deals during that time. Nobody local to me did though. I was watching and hoping but they are still holding them.
