Just for clarification on this, the deflectors are not completely 'in' during the hottest part of summer. Took me a long time to realize there are really three positions - In, Out, & Mid. When the temp is over 100 I have them set to 'mid' position, not fully in. Really directs the air right on to your legs to help with the heat.
