Hi Guys,

New owner here. I got a 2015 Magnum about a month ago and love it. The one thing I miss is the heel shifter i had on my heritage. It looks like the kuryakyn one sits almost even with the boards and I dont think I'll like that. Im 6-1 so Im not too concerned about space being taken up on the back 1/4 of the boards. Does anyone have some pictures or reviews of it installed? Theres not much online.

Id also like to get some highway pegs but my bike didnt come with crash bars. Are there any that mount a different way? Some that mount under the floorboards would be ideal but it doesn't look like that an option.

Does it ever get slick? Looks like it would since theres no rubber sections

yea i saved that one cause it came up when i was looking at shift pegs! Does it get slick in the rain?
I've never slipped off of it rain or shine. I don't use it a ton. Mainly just when my feet are rearward or I'm wearing a boot I don't want to scuff. I only do that when I go to court so that's not often. It is tucked away but I never miss it and find it is easy to use.

It's a easy install too.

LOVE mine on my CC 8-BALL...wish I could get for my VEGAS 8-BALL. Every time I get on the VEGAS I keep trying to shift with heel. (BONUS...shift with toe...pushing down on heel shifter...HD will disappear faster with good positive shifts:badgrin:)

I have the Victory heel shifter and use it all the time. I've used it in rain and snow and never had an issue.

@ATG591 my advice would be GET THE CRASH BARS! they will save the damage caused by dropping the bike. .......:banghead:
And you can find good ones on E-bay

Not that anyone plans to drop their bike, but I try to be extremely careful.

anyways, I have a hard time justifying buying crash bars when I really don't like the way they look.

...never mind the bike... if you get hit broadside a crashbar can save you an amputation : it has happened to many
Being tucked inside the Vision certainly helped the wife and I come out good while sliding down that guardrail recently. I swear that on any other bike we would have been transported at a minimum.

I never plan on dropping the bike but have to say I don't care when the Vision takes a dive. The tip over works so I let it. I've lost count of how many times I've dropped it.

Sportster - 2

Road King - a ton in police training, real world maybe 2.

Kingpin - Never

13 Vision - Lost count.

08 Vision - Not yet. It has chrome front tip overs and boards. I can't bring myself to scratch them up. I've never even dragged the boards on that bike.

Well, you really won't like the way it looks after it get's dropped! And sooner or later it will, either by you or someone else.

Love my heel shifter. I thought I wouldnt like it almost even with the floorboards either so I adjusted it to the highest level and it was terrible. Had to put way to much arch to get up to it so I adjust it down to its lowest level (just above floorboard) and its wayyyy better. Barely have to move foot at all to click it down, great

I thought the word crash bars was out many years ago and all bikers were going to call them engine guards or case savers( 72 year old riding often), keep riding, snow in northern MN this morning, afternoon looks good.
