The look is a combo of the Deuce and the Rocker styles. The Rocker descended from the Deuce but had a 240 rear tire and 37 degree rake (Deuce was 160 with a 32 rake). It also featured a unique seat, rear fender, and oil tank. They didn't sell well and were killed off. So with the Breakout, they have returned to the conventional seat/rear fender of the Deuce, but kept the 240 and 37 degree rake of the Rocker.

As for Harley copying the Stryker, Raider, or Hammer, it's a grey area. While Star and Victory may have been first in production, let's face it, due to sheer volume, many trends start with people modifying their Harleys.Manufacturersthen usually mimic the style to keep up with the fashion of the day. So did Harley copy Star, or did Star make a production bike that looked like amodified Harley, before Harley did the same?
