Here we go again...gas prices are now rising. Florida is now averaging $3.20 per gallon for regular. So, I thought I'd ask, What's the price for gas in your area? How will this increase affect your riding, driving and your lifestyle?

Maybe I should try and talk my comapny into switching to Visions for our company cars! At 40-45 MPG, think how much we could save. :) To answer your question Andy, parts of CA are already creeping up on $4 per gallon. Most everywhere else I travel the prices are in the mid $3 range....but it's gonna get worse.

As most of you know, oil/gas is highly "Supply/Demand" driven, with most of the supply side manipulated heavily by just about every single level of the food chain that can possibly manipulate it.....but here is a little unknown information: Most of the demand has been created in Asia, which is how the gulf region, along with the middle east and South America has been able to hold all of us ransom with the current pricing...."either you pay, or we ship it to Asia". Here is what most do not realize: Asia is getting tired of what they are paying and, just like they do with everything else, they are building and bringing MASSIVE capacity on-line here within the next 12-36 months.....We are talking about an unreal amount of capacity. Asia doesn't give a damn about anyone else's profits, they need to capacity to continue their expansion without incurring more inflation. As this capacity builds, Asia will simply quit looking elsewhere for their refined oil and gas. Oil and gas have had their booms and busts over the last century, and make no mistake, everytime there is a boom, there will be a correction....but in the meantime I enjoy listening to the "experts" talk about invisible deamons creating a "new economy".....ask yourself if those "experts" have anyting to gain by giving their opinions. Just sayin.

I am going to buy a hybrid!!! I heard Ferrari has done wonders with the 599 GTB hybrid boosting it from 9 to 12 mpg :)
Anybody who can get a 33% gain in fuel economy must be doing something right!! with that kind of technology, our oil will last FOREVER....right?

Funny, I came upon that story last night and I was wondering what Ferrari was trying to prove... They sell about 6000 cars a year and most of those dont get driven... Did they really need a hybrid?

$3.29 per in Minneapolis/Saint Paul Area. If I could drive the bike right now it would be my 95% mode of transportation. I've also in the past been know to buy stock in oil companys to offset my pain at the pump.

Minnesota is $3.19 for regular. My take on prices is the gasoline company's have a profit of xxx millions. So thanks to Obama giving the car company's bail out money now we have cars that get 28 to 40 miles a gallon and Obama wants a million electric cars on the road in the up coming years. So if people don't need gasoline as much how do they maintain there profit? Easy raise prices. They all ready say gas will be $5 a gallon by the end of the year. The government all ready knows that 19% of Americans can't afford $5.00 a gallon. So where do you think prices of food clothes heating will go but up. To think tooth paste $5.00 dollars a tube and the price of motorcycle. OMG! Thanks Obama for bending us over once more.

Never mind gas, how about home heating oil, I'm paying $1.02 per litre or $3.85 a US gallon and I average just over 200 gallons a month for January and February.
Back when (Early 80's) the house we lived in had 2 - 250 gal tanks for heating oil, the truck would come every 10 days to fill them up. I have the receipts, I'm not sure what the price was then but it was high for the time.

I just bought a Suzuki DR-Z400S. The first tank I used came out to 57.8 mpg. It should get better after it is broken in. That will be my daily rider along with Dorsoduro which gets 52-54 mpg. Gas was $3.15 yesterday, but I'm sure it's much higher today.

This past weekend regular was 3.19/3.27 a gallon depending on the station, today is is 3.49, seemingly has been going up 10c per day. You CAN NOT convince me that the "people" (adjective changed for political correctness") aren't just gouging before the actual new prices/cost get to them. And enough of the news media saying gas price are "predicted to hit $x per gallon by summer". If they would keep their mouths shut perhaps the sellers wouldn't think we expect that so go ahead and charge it. Where is all this American oil that we are supposed to have? Good thing my blood pressure hasn't been an issue or my wife would be posting my obit here.
