Well, the unthinkable happened to me today on the way to work....both quick release pins decided to go ahead and release while I was doing 50 mph. :cursing: Nothing like hearing your saddlebag hit the highway and slide off into the weeds. When I retrieved it - it still will function but its beat up. Worn through on the lid down to the padding, the box is scuffed and the buckles are ground down. I called the dealer when I got to work and explained what happened - he told me to bring it in when I got off work and they will check it and call Victory to see what they will do. If you remember from a previous post of mine, I had the rear pin release awhile back but just chalked it up to not being seated properly. At that time, no one had experienced that problem before. I have not had that bag off in the past 3-500 miles and it was fine, of course I got out of the habit of checking it. I am waiting to see what Victory will say, the service guy thought they might ask if I have been having problems with it why I hadn't told the dealer about it. I actually forgot about it when I presented them with my other warranty issues. I feel totally frustrated with myself and with a design that fails and I cant prove that I did nothing wrong. Man I wish I wasn't the only one with this issue. Once this issue is resolved, I plan on removing the pins and installing them with nuts and bolts. Never again do I want to hear that sound.
