Mine is on the way, and I picked up some gray Plasti Dip today. Hopefully it somewhat matches the gray on my Magnum. If not, I'll peel it off and go flat black. Gotta love the Plasti Dip. I'll test ride on Friday.

I've already told you, but for the group I also have Midwest Customs fork lowers to mount. I'll start with your device and add the lowers. My only concern is that I'll feel my Klockwerks Flare will feel inadequate once I'm not getting blasted with air from below. I'll report back next week.

I finally had some time today to do some tinkering. Here are my thoughts:

First, the reason I bought this was that I was getting terrible buffeting starting at about 50-55 from air coming around the tank and up, and not stopping at any speed I've ridden at so far. I have a Klockwerks Flip windshield and wear a full face helmet, but it still rattles my head around and is super annoying. Today is windy (15-20, gusting higher) and about 90 degrees. I rode in shorts to really feel the heat.

So I put on the CFAD and went for a ride. It fit good. I don't like how it rubs the line down to the brakes, but I think it would be easy enough to protect that. There was definite improvement in the buffeting right around 55. However, there was a small amount of buffeting from 45-55 that wasn't there before. I'm not sure I would have noticed this with a half helmet. My opinion is that it caught my visor and jaw portion of my helmet. Also, the air coming over the top of my shield 55 and above was turbulent and hitting my helmet. I didn't think it would be good to ride at high speed for long periods without changing windshields. It is a definite improvement from stock though. I agree with what others have said about moving the air back. It's still coming around the tank, but it's not turbulent right in my chest and face.

Next, I removed the CFAD and mounted fork lowers from Midwest Customs. They went on easily, even without instructions. I need to add a couple washers to the top clamps to make them just right. The ride with these is NICE. No buffeting up to 85, and the air over the shield is back to non-turbulent. Also, the shield is pushing it up over my helmet. It's the first time since I've owned this bike that I could really open up on the highway and have a nice, smooth, quiet ride. Ahhhh. The one thing to be aware of is the heat. It's like the air gets pushed out around you, and it's coming back forward with you. It's pretty hot around your legs on a day like today. I've seen others talk about the front end getting pushed around with these. I frankly didn't notice that.

Overall, the MC Lowers are staying on until Spring. I'll keep the CFAD and maybe use it next summer if I get too hot. I'll probably try it out at some point with both, although I really don't see a need right now. A taller shield might make all the difference in the world, but to be honest, I'm done spending money on this bike for a while. I love it, but I'm disappointed in Victory for not addressing this on a stock bike. There's no reason I should be uncomfortable on a bike like this at 60mph off the showroom floor.
