Has anyone with a Vic made their own quarter turn ring similar to the lloydz piece? Some google searches show multiple guys doing it with pvc pipe. Thinking about it for myself, just wondering if anyone has tried it and had some tips. If you're wondering why i would bother trying? Cuz $20 turns into $50 pretty quick by the time its at my door in Canada, and i like working on and building things for myself when ever I get the chance to.

I just bought two of Lloytz 1/4 turns for my two Vic's. Haven't installed them yet but I thought it was a great part for the price. Looks to be made very well and hope it works as good as it looks while eliminating the annoying regrip or arm twist required to give it full throttle quickly.
I'm ALL for DIY. But for the $20, I can't see using my time to build a ring when all the R&D has been figured out already and made of better material. I'll fab a way more expensive part with my time.
