Seasons Greetings everyone,

I bought myself a set of driving lights with a blue Led light ring. Not sure if I will use the blue Led's yet will see.

Every type of mount I came up with made it look like Uncle Tom's tractor :-(.

So I pulled the lights apart and made a very simple aliminium tube extention that picks up on a 6 mm bolt hole under the indicator frame. Nice and deep and solid allowed a good length of threat to hold these reletively light, spots in place.

The mount is just a piece of alluminum tube with a broon stick handle core to take the load. I shaped one end to be concave domed to allow for light movement up and down. All I have to do is wire it up now.

I will look over past posts for best relay and pick up point to wire them into the system.

I wanted a good triangle of light to add to my on road visability.

I think it looks pretty good. Total cost $50.00 for the lights and maybe a relay later.

Looks good. Hard to tell from pic but watch that clearance between light and front fender.

Great point. They look great and seem to have a lot of clearance, but one pot hole that bottoms out the front end and you might have a problem.

Thanks Guys looked it over again and I have only 80mm clearance and teh fork travel is 120mm to the stop.

I will have another look at shifting them outwards 2inches or so both sides, that should do it.

Cheers and Happy New Year.

Many thanks to Pheonix9 and FlaMike, I liked their suggestions and agreed with the possible impact of the fender on a heavy fork depression.

So I made a small modification on the Driving Lights to set them out away from the fender. I think they actuially look better. I nice piece of Stainless strip approximately 2 inches by 1 inch a 6mm hole each end and another spacer and it looks much beter. I think it will give a good triangle of light now!

So I am now ready to wire up, I think I can tap into the light switch though the headlight bucket hook in a relay and away we go ;-).

Happy New Year.

Finally finished the installation and as you can see I thin they look pretty good and further more the triangle of light works well.

Wired to a relay I installed in the headlight bucket.

Cheers
