I changed mine out to the Polk Audio Dxi525's and they rock! Marine certified, used stock bolts no problem, connectors are smaller but worked fine. I also went to the the 2011 grilles as they have larger holes.

I do have to use a higher setting with my Polks to get the same volume level, probably around 2 higher. This is probably because the magnets are significantly larger than the peanut magnets on the stock speakers.

UPDATE: My Polks are sounding blown after a week-end of riding with earplugs on the freeway. Probably my fault having the volume cranked to 22-24 so I could hear it with the earplugs in at freeway speeds of around 75-80. I'm ordering an amp and will then decide what to do with the speakers, should of gone with an amp to start with.

I'm not sure if it was concluded what the speakers are but how about if someone just takes their ohm meter to it? i know speakers are noted by impedance instead of resistance but speakers will be all resistance with them unplugged. Z=R in this case. I didn't see where someone has done this. I know a bunch of people were looking up part numbers but a quick measure of what we actually have will tell the whole story. I am looking to upgrade but I really want to avoid taking everything apart until it's time to install. My guess is that they would be 4 ohm but....
The new Victory Kicker upgrade speakers are 4 ohm.
