I have read some of the threads, but mostly it is talking about the fuel indicators being inaccurate. I agree - the warning light came on and the gauge read dead empty with two gallons in the tank at 164 miles. The good news is first tank of gas, 41 mpg calculated by me and not the computer...happy camper.
But is the inaccuracy consistent? Can I expect that for the long haul, and assume like I did with my previous bike to fill up around the 200 mile mark? I'm a migrant from GoldWing country - I would run 200 miles and know I had 30 or so left if I needed to squeeze a few more miles outta the old girl. I figured 164 empty was ridiculous, but if it does it all the time, then I have an idea of when to start worrying. Don't really care if it is worng if it is wrong by about the same all the time. The Wing wasn't very accurate either, but it was consistent.
