If you haven’t tried cleaning out the seals with a seal mateor a piece of plastic from a milk jug first, try that. You might be surprised. I have not yet had to change my seals and I have almost 52,000 miles.

If you google "Sealmate" you will find a few videos of how well this simple seal cleaning tool works. You can spend the $5 for the sealmate tool or like others have said you can use a thin piece of plastic or film negative to clean the seals. Either way, if you follow the directions, it does work. My seals were leaking and after using the sealmate tool just once they stopped leaking.

Thank you all for the information. I have looked up and ordered the Seal Mate. I'll give it a shot before replacing the seals. I do not know how much fluid I had that escaped. That being the case I'll go ahead and do a oil change. Looks like I may need to change the front brakes as well , the seal that was leaking was on the left and it looks like the brake pad May have picked up some of that oil.

Good deal. It worked great for me after being hit with a brutal dirt devil.

Can you replace the fork oil without disassembly ?
I have not done an oil change on the Forks yet, from what I have read and it makes sense if you do not disassemble the forks you're not going to get all the old oil out. And it would be counterproductive to mix even the same viscosity oil clean and dirty. And after reading some of the posts I am going to go with the heavier oil when I change it to stiffen the front end up a little. That being the case I would be mixing different viscosities and that's not going to perform well at all. To me it would be like changing the oil in my car but not changing the filter.
