I'm asking for some help and a show of solidarity from VOGsters everywhere. Despite my best efforts, I cannot do this alone. I need your help in using this forum to heap as much scorn, contempt, hatred, ill-will, and harsh vituperation, or just plain old mockery on the State of California as is humanly possible. Why? The biggest problem in California is not the implosion of the housing market, debt, illegal immigration, or any of a thousand other issues. Bless you, one and all. I feel much better now. HBK: Gee, I wonder if there's any correlation between how corrupt a government is and how much they trust the citizenry to arm themseves. A law-abiding resident of Californication might be able to obtain a CCW permit, but they'll have file a mountain of paperwork, pay somewhere around $500 in filing fees, undergo a psych evaluation, and carry a minimum of $1 million in liability insurance. Even then, the application will likely not be approved unless you can prove that you are receiving death threats or that you routinely carry large amounts of cash or other valuables in the conduct of your daily business. Or you could just get elected to public office. The most outspoken anti-gun politicos in this state carry, themselves.
