After ridin 2k miles, I finally got the bike home and really had some time to go over it. What a beautiful bike! One problem, after reading on here that one guy's saddle bags werent painted on the underside, I took a look at mine and I have one saddle bag that is not painted. To me this is actually kinda funny, all the talk about the QC inspections from the factory and the secondary QC at the dealerships and this gets missed? Well, I knew what I was getting into when I was buying the first model year, minor issue IMHO. I still find it hilarious! So far, the bike is very impresive in the styling, handeling and power department. Will post any additional issues.

looked at mine...neither are painted on the underside, but honestly not sure that it matters. Unless you get on your hands and knees to look, you would never know. Not sure that I am going to complain about it or worry about it

How strange. I checked mine and they're painted. I did find three little colored stickers with initials on them taped to the bottom of the bags. May have been a QC person??Final inspection person went on a beer break? I would get Indian to fix your bags because at the price paid, everything should be as good a possible. Don't settle for a half-a$$ed paint job from any company.

A person actually needs to go over their new bike top to bottom. The dealer gets paid to do a final inspection to make sure the factory did not miss anything. The Harley dealership I worked for pocketed that money and instructed the mechanics to get it on the floor ASAP, no inspection no nothin. I dont see why Indian dealers would be any different.

Did anyone consider the possibility that they made a running change in the paint process and decided painting the underside of the bag was a waste of paint? Their "mistake" was not matching up painted and unpainted on individual bikes. It is somewhat amusing the things people find to complain about. You could go 10000 miles and never know one bags underside wasn't painted and you would be no worse off in the long run.
