Hey everyone I've been on this site for a year or so. At first just to educate myself about my new to me Victory (2500 kms) and then searching for a fix for my stalling issue. Ive read plenty on the stalling but I'm not sure my situation is the same. My bike can stall any time while riding, slow, fast ,stopping or starting from a stop. When it stalls the tach jumps from 0 to 2000, the engine light goes on and off and the fuel pump cycles on and off as if I'm turning the kill switch on and off. Sometimes the above situation happens just by turning the key on. When I'm driving the engine light comes on and I start to lose power sometimes causing the bike to die, twisting the throttle prevents it from dieing completely but it sputters and pops. Ive replaced the battery and 40 amp relay and have sent hours checking connectors and grounds and I do not blip the throttle (anymore).
Anyone have any insight on this problem?
Thanks

I have the battery posts tightened and re-tightened to the point where I'm sure they will snap. I've recently replaced the battery as the first step in trouble shooting the problem. Wonder what the odds of the new battery being bad also.

Well after hours of trouble shooting and research I stumbled across a post that described my problem exactly. Kevinx suggested to pull the speed sensor connector and see if the problem goes away. It worked for that guy and it appears to be working for me also. I'm going to continue to ride with the speed sensor disconnected for a while longer Just to be sure before I buy a new sensor 150.00 cdn. Thanks again for the replies.

Thanks for the lead on a new sensor but it looks like it won't fit on a Hammer. And as mdallen said if anything is wrong with it I'm screwed . I really don't mind spending a buck fifty on a new sensor just making sure after replacing a 40 amp cb that was probably still good.
