I had a mechanic change out tires, tubes, do filters, oil change and such on a 2003 V92c. He said it was running great yesterday and reported it was ready to be picked up. But this morning the news is it wasn't wanting to start up - not getting fuel.
This bike has less than 900 miles on it so getting it a refresh just after purchasing at auction. It has obviously been sitting a good while.
Any ideas I could pass on to him to shorten his hunt for a cure on this?
I'm going to link him in on this thread and the site. He does V-Twins but mostly Harleys so not quite as familiar with a bike as old as this one and this brand.

Does your mechanic know about the fast idle lever(not to be confused with a choke, but it sort of works like one)? Also, has he tested the fuel pump pressure?

When you first turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump run?

The Fuel pump should generate ~50psi (when working properly).
I've also read accounts on the VOG site of folks having a bad fuel regulator.
