So I was cruising Craigslist looking at motorcycles when I ran across a beautiful 08 HD with 9900 miles. It had some good pictures with a description stating it had "good rubber." This was the picture of the tire. They must be original tires and it's a real shame this guy has just let the ike sit.

How could anybody call this good?

Country boy logic. If it holds air and has any tread left it's a good tire. Those cracks ain't a problem if they ain't leaking air. If the cracks start to leak a tube will take care of it. :rofl2::rofl2:

Wow the rot... The rubbers good, just old as ****, and needs to be changed..

I was told, 1" of dry rot is bad... I couldn't believe they allowed up to an inch!!!

Rubbers to cheap to hold on to.

A lot of people would look at that tire and not notice the crack unless they rolled the bike and inspected the tire through a full rotation. It looks like an accident waiting to happen.

I just checked the listing and it has been flagged. Guess I was right about it being a scam.

They are phishing for good email address and any other info they can get like cell or home phone numbers. They do it like crazy here, Vegas, and Phoenix areas too. Whenever I see a deal that looks too good to be true I hit the "Prohibit" button which prevents it from showing up. When enough people do the same thing the mods flag it.
