New owner of a 2017 Magnum that has a short no existent windshield and on my first ride found the wind to be a little much. What size is anyone running with that makes it a little more enjoyable? I am 6'4" and considering an 11" rambler but would love some suggestions. Thanks

Nice looking bike. I use a Long Ride shield. I run the 12". I'm 5'9. Still see over it, sometimes the curve sucks, but air is over my head. LRS is having a sale right now.

If you don't mind the look, a lot of guys use a Madstad system.

Welcome! I felt the same way when I got my Magnum. I use a Madstad. That made riding the bike much better. Before I installed it, going over 50mph was like getting beat up by a professional boxer. I'm 6'1. Can't remember which size windscreen I got with the Madstad. It is adjustable though, so I don't think it matters much. Just adjust it to the angle and height that works for your riding position and helmet.

Just curios, do you have a CCT windshield on your bike now? The windshield with the 6 mounting screws onto the two brackets that hold the windshield off the fairing. Do you also have the CCT lower fairing winglets?

I have a klock worx 11" now, it's just OK, doesn't compare to the MADSTAD I had on my other CC. Pardon my thoughts, but what do you mean by "lower fairing winglets". I have the CCT lowers, first trip and knew it was going to be hot, so haven't ridden bike with them on.

I believe he is refering to the pieces attach to the lower fairing. Come standard on a tour. You can direct wind on or away.

@Fishlunch Beautiful bike, love that color scheme. Check out madstad, the adjustable system allows 4 inches of up / down & 20 degrees forward / back tilt, really makes all the difference. They also have a chart that helps determine ( off ur height ) which windshield you’ll need. I’m 5’9 and got an 8in windshield, according to their chart I should’ve gotten a 9in tall windshield.......they were right, I should’ve gotten the 9. It does change the bikes look ( esp to you @ first ) but you’ll soon get used to that & after first ride you won’t even care because the madstad bracket system works that well. My wife riding passenger sometimes wears a hat with the bill facing forwards, yes forwards & it doesn’t move running 60-65 mph. Really is a great investment along with a ram ball mount for ur phone / tablet

While it may work to alleviate some buffeting, I personally can't get past the funky looking setup of a madstad system.
