With the odd sizing and limited options I was just curious what people use and why? If you use alternative sizes on the stock rims, how has that worked out for you??

Personally I'd prefer more grip than lasting a million miles on the Octane.

I use Dunlop Roadsmart III, 120/70ZR18 in front and 160/70ZR17 rear. Looks better on the bike than the original bias ply tires I think.

Oh nice, I was looking at those myself! What pressure do you run on the front tire?

How has the 120/70 front worked out?
How does it look? Much smaller or?

Did you notice much of a difference in handling or ride quality going to radial tires from the stock bias ply tires?

Avon Storms are also available in those sizes.

I have a Buell S1 for torturing the twisties, it takes 17" tires. I've been running Shinko Ravens, they're cheap and sticky sumbitches. don't last to long but at the price I really don't care.
