Okay, I dont know if it has already been brought up but I was at the dealer today and the 8-Ball Vision doesnt have tipovers or rear floorboards. Aren't the tip-overs one of their biggest selling features? I hope no one buys one and pushes it over to show there friends how it works...

Not good! Thats a huge selling point of the bike. Went to far taking cost out IMO

I likethe stylings of8- ball Visions the best, but there is no way I'll take delivery on a 2011 without tip-over's and passenger floor boards. Vic crossed the threshold from a clean, minimalist design to low-rent.

I will say it really does look better in person and it does clean up the bike. At the dealer they have a video on loop and every 15 minutes or so they show the guy pushing it over. When I bought my Vision I did the same thing to show my friends how it worked. At that time I really never paid much attention to what the tipovers were so if they werent there I wouldnt have noticed and trashed my bike.
I agree with Bubba, this is just going a little to far to cut cost when it is one of the biggest selling features of the bike.

Make that two of us who agree with Bubba!

I never realized that the Vision 8-Ball did not include the Tip Overs. After all, isn't that one of the signature features of the Vision?

Interesting, in the 2011 parts book they call out specific parts for the 8-Ball. Another case of the left hand not talking to the right hand. At least the parts should be available for those in the know.

Out of curiosity, how much would it cost to add the tip-overs?

No idea, the purepolaris link only shows part numbers, not prices

It did have the front ones installed. Iam curious what the rear ones cost. I pull that part number and nothing came up on the Vic site.

Regardless of Vision standard equipment isn't the 8 Ball supposed to be a stripped down bare bones bike? Leaving the tip overs off kinda fits that bill in my mind even though someone who may have been interested in the tip overs may not take the time to notice they are not there.
I had looked at a 10 model at Randy's a few months ago and never paid attention to tip overs at all.

At my dealer right now for the demo tour. Lookimg at the 2011 8Ball.
The rear bags have some bad scratches where the bike has been put down.
He figures at least $400 to have them put on.
Plus the rear grab handles are unfinished, very cheap looking.

I'm hearing that the 2012's are deleting the front brakes and the seat is an optional upgrade.

...but it will still be all black so everything should be just fine.

That looks like a KingPin not a Vision.
