Cleaned her up, mounted the new front Shinko, preparing her for her winter's nap. :cautious:

@Chattanooga_Mark ,

Thank you, agree she is a beautiful machine. I strongly considered going with the 160, but didn't want to fiddle with the front fender. Depending on how the Shinko performs, I may yet have another chance.

P.S. I blasted through Chattanooga Wednesday evening. Was in Orlando and my flight got cancelled (Nicole), so drove home.

Just got these and will be sticking them on shortly. I had a pair on my XR and liked them. Anyway, I just thought they are a pretty good deal I'd pass along.

Lou, You will like them and they look good. My wife likes them so much she bangs her boots on them every time she gets on or off my XCT. LOL.............

Dang, 17 dollars is a pretty good price. I have them on my red 14 CC, and if nothing else, they do break up the color, and they can be removed easily.

Took delivery of an Ultimate heated Mid Rider. Installation happening today. The seat, construction, finish looks superb. Will probably go to town and back for an inaugural run.

27 Degrees during the inaugural run with the Ultimate seat. The heat does work, was spoiled by having a high and low option on the OEM seat. Now simply an ON or OFF button. "It works", is the most important thing. The seat is firmer than stock. Obviously not anywhere near the 100+ mile break in ride they suggest.
It looks good on the XCT. Even more excited for spring!

Checked the battery cables and they were really loose. The check engine light had been coming on intermittently, so hope the loose cables were the culprit. I did go ahead and order the 40 amp breaker from the local Napa store and plan on replacing the battery and breaker in the spring. I don’t know the age of the battery and it can’t hurt to change the breaker. Sure is a lot more trouble getting to the battery on this bike compared to the Kingpin LOL!! I’ll have it jacked up next time, I’m too old to be rolling around on a concrete floor!
I also did the saddlebag latch repair on the the right bag. I had read that it was usually the right bag and they were right.
just a couple more small steps of getting to know this bike and getting ready for some spring rides. The biggest problem I have with this bike so far is that the wife likes to ride it as much as I do and the damn thing is too heavy to push out to the road and sneak off without her knowing it…… just kidding….. kind of LOL! Take care everybody.

I sat on mine making vroom vroom sounds while daydreaming of past & future rides, my garage’s extremely hot & my eyes started sweating so I had to walk away
