I have 167,00 miles on my XCT and this is the first time I've given them any thought.
Awesome mileage! What repairs/maintenance, outside of normal maintenance, have you performed on the engine? Mostly curious as to what parts and tasks I should prepare for.

Thanks in advance, ride safe,
Smokier

I put cams in it 87,000 miles ago. I haven't done any engine repairs. Ironically, yesterday I noticed my right-hand fork seal dripping oil.

At 167k, guess fork seals isn't the worst thing to find leaking! ;)

Greetings @lou8700

I bought them directly from Centramatic. Took three weeks for production, and to be delivered. $364 delivered for the set. Not the best communication from them regarding order processing, production, and delivery. But Mike @ Centramatic WAS responsive to my inquiries. Had to add a small washer to the ABS tone ring pick up, to keep it from rubbing. Only have 10 miles on them since install yesterday evening. Going to fix that today with a leaf ride with the Bride.

Also, (side note) both the XR and the XCT got new Die Hard AGM 310CC batteries from Advance Auto.

Ride safe,

Centramatic are nice. So are Avon tyres with no heavy spots to align.

The bike died multiple times on the way to mom's house. Every time it was supposed to idle it went way too low RPM. Had to keep RPM up manually every stoplight. Idles fine when I pulled in driveway. I'm annoyed.
I'll check the simple stuff like battery connection in a bit. It was on battery tender that was showing good before I left. All other RPM fine just didn't switch over to idle as it should be doing. 🤷‍♂️
I'll check the battery connection in a bit. Gotta eat the lasagna I came for first.

This happens to me occasionally. The other day on the way to work it happened. I do an IAC reset and it always solves the issue. Takes 3 minutes or less and doesn't require tools.

I did that and it was idling fine when I restarted it before heading in to eat. I'll see what it does when I'm ready to leave here in a bit. It's over an hour ride home with lots of stoplights I'm not wanting it to die again.

I've been riding the bike since 2018 and it's never done this before so it really throwing me off.

Learn something new everyday I suppose.
It was fine riding home. I guess it was not prepared for fall air. :ROFLMAO:

Is something to do with the ecu needing to self adjust for changes in air and temperature

My bike has been doing this also with the too low idle and noticed pausing when cranking then fires up. Battery voltage I beleive is the issue, though my battery is 12.7 volts, I beleive it may be the 40 Amp breaker starting to fail or loose/poor connection. This is why it needs a relearn. I don't think it has anything to do with temperature. My bike did this 4 times in 2 weeks. I have a new breaker in my tool bag, a jump box, test light and a well packed tool bag that I only use on Harleys, ha ha, but I'm always ready. When it's time, I'll find it. In the meantime, I'm riding b4 the salt hits the roads. Plenty of time to find this issue in the winter.

I've noticed the robot clown face the first time I rode a Cross Country, but have never noticed the smiley face on the bottom of the fork legs before this!
Neither had I until you mentioned it!
