Do every damn thing not to let it fall.
Take the trunk off before trying to lift it. Makes a big difference.Last Sunday morning I got up early, made a pot of coffee and while it was perking I decide to go out in the garage and check the air in the tires. Rolling it back and forth a bit the kickstand kicked up and before you know it I'm laying it on it's side gently as possible. Yeah, I know, always sit on the bike when moving. Anyway, I had a hell of a time and couldn't get it back up. Time to go in, get dressed, have a cup of coffee and think about it.
I've had to pick my XR up in these situations a few times and it wasn't a problem but this XCT is a handful.
Ok, boots on, plenty of caffeine and I'm definitely not waking up my wife for a little extra grunt. The hardest part is finding a good hand grab to lift as you're walking it back up. So, I had a brainstorm and used a couple of soft tie down loops to use as pull handles. One on the highway peg and one on the bag rail. Worked pretty good and I was able to walk it back up. Going to keep them in the saddlebag just in case.
Anybody else have any other suggestions on getting these monsters upright?

Great idea on using the soft ties to help right your CCT. I dropped mine in a similar situation in my garage many years ago. The passenger hand grab rails are, imho, one of the best accessories Polaris ever made for the Cross bikes. But I’ll be putting a set of soft ties in the CCT saddlebag just in case.Last Sunday morning I got up early, made a pot of coffee and while it was perking I decide to go out in the garage and check the air in the tires. I had the Centramatic wheel balancers installed on my CCT at the first tire change. That was over 85K miles ago. My tire mileage and wear have always been exceptional. While not done TODAY. I have ordered Lyndall Gold pads for ALL corners. Centramtic wheel balancers. And an AVON Cobra Chrome for the rear. The front will probably be replaced in the spring. There are a few miles left on it to get $$ out of.
Will report back on the Centramatics... HIPE or YEEHAW, we will find out...

The only thing an old E4 is good for is practicing parking lot maneuvers. It's not safe for anything close to spirited riding, definitely wouldn't consider taking one on a track. Unless of course it was a drifting competition.Save it. You now have a spare racing slick.
Nice catch! Do you know from which position the stretched one came?Changed both camchains, as you can see one is stretched 4-5mm!!!! Made a horribble sound in the engine……finally back to normal!!
It was the front, I have a video here but I cant upload it.Nice catch! Do you know from which position the stretched one came?
Just curious if the front or the rear would have a higher tendency to stretch...
