Giant crashbars + chrome bag protectors = tipover protection

I'm not sure if Victory has identified this setup as 'protection', but it works.
The bottom of the bag guards even have a flat spot that the bike sits on when you lay if over.

I know the engine guards on the XC work very well in a tipover situation... I am just not allowed to say how I know

I know, I've read the stories and understand they can help but the design is not specifically for tipover protection or Victory would advertise that as a feature. Comparing the damage on a bike with bag guards and a highway / crash bar to one that has designed in tipover protection like a Vision, LT or Wing is somewhat of an apples to oranges comparison.

there's 2 types of bikes in the world. The ones that have been over and the ones that are going to be over.

My Cross has been over on both sides now. Once I can't explain(the left side) just found it that way in the driveway. The right side was not being able to stop quick enough on a wet road and rear ending a Ford Ranger and falling over to the right side.

Very minor chips in the bottom of the bags.

Left floorboard has some major scrapes in it but that's from a local road called Mindoro Cut that I took a little above posted speed limit. Funny though I've been on the Tail and in the Ozarks and never got near to touching.

Interesting Trivia... The Cross bikes originally had been designed with tipovers like the Vision but they had changed it to the engine guards to give the bikes a more traditional look. I wouldn't rule out them offering it as an option one day.

I put my kickstand down once so fast it wasn't fully deployed and the thing sank in the grass just enough to retract, so it slowly tipped onto the TOs while I was walking back from opening my bike shed (and having a slooow heart attack).
Possibly something like this occurred but slower if your driveway is firmer than my grass.
I wasn't sure how it happened the first time until it almost happened again. Duuuhhh! I am generally my favorite comedy act,,,
My uncle taught me about scratches, and losing fights the same summer; Until your bike has a scratch or two you aint ridin' it yet & Until you get your butt kicked a time or two you aint really fought nobody,,,,

Never really that happy or excited with the Vision since day one. Long story, but if I could do it all again, I would have kept my 97 FLHTC.
It wouldn't handle, brake, or pass a grey hair driving a 68 Rambler American, but I always wore a grin when I was on it.

Right on I hear ya.I also had several flhtc 's red ones at that rode everywhere on them.Hope to see you back on a Vic someday soon

Found out Saturday how good the tip-over's work on the Cross Roads, just wish I had the bag guards (peeled a little plastic off the bottom of the bag). This was all my fault and at about 10mph on the hi-way. I'm fine, my pride is what hurt the most.
