Correct me if I'm wrong but Harley never advertised the bag guards as tip over protectors. The only bikes that advertise tip over protection are the Vision, Goldwing and BMW.

I know from personal experience.....the XC tipovers work. Light scratches on the chrome. No real damage.

I know, I've read the stories and understand they can help but the design is not specifically for tipover protection or Victory would advertise that as a feature. Comparing the damage on a bike with bag guards and a highway / crash bar to one that has designed in tipover protection like a Vision, LT or Wing is somewhat of an apples to oranges comparison.
