Two things that I have found handy.

1. SAE to Clamps connector.
Amazon.com: Battery Tender 081-0069-4 Alligator Clips with Black 2-Pin Quick Disconnect Plug: Automotive

2. SAE Extension Cable
Amazon.com: Battery Tender 081-0148-12 12.5' Extension Cable: Automotive

Plug both in and hook up to another veh(with the motor off) and you're up and running. Also good to jump your buddies bikes if they don't have a cable on their bike, but if they do the extension cable alone will work.
So then you can jump bike through Battery Tender cable?

Outside storage: I do not have a garage so I keep my bike under a canvas cover. I attached a solar tender, here is a picture of it. Because of the nasty weather here in New Jersey I haven't been on my bike for 12 days. I went out today, detached the tender and it fired right up. (-: I should mention that I carefully enclosed the entire solar panel in clear plastic wrapping to protect it from rain and snow. It is pretty much watertight.

I bought my Judge in October with 9,996 on it, and I think it rolled over on 11,960ish when I pulled in the garage yesterday. I rode 700+ miles in the first week, and nearly froze to death doing so on the way out to the mountains (no regrets). My daughter is six and she went for her first little ride yesterday. My intention is to wear this thing out so I can buy another ASAP. I absolutely love my new (is it still new after 2K?) bike and I'm sure you will.

However, if you don't get some mileage on it soon... I might have to start comparing you to my brother-in-law who rides his Harley 10 miles at a time and never if it is too cold, hot, rainy, sunny, windy, or otherwise.
You are darned right it is new. At 2k miles it is almost broken in. Good luck wearing it out. My Vision is at about 28k miles and is no way acting as if it is wearing out. I have replaced the tires once and the front brakes twice though.
No battery tender connection on my 2013 Vision so I don't know that they are "standard". I never use my seat heaters although I do ride down to about 20ºF. The grip heaters are a different matter. Mine tend to be on "low" at anything below about 40ºF.

The battery tender braid on mine did not come standard, I had to have it installed. I believe my braid came with Tender Solar unit.

Seems like getting a battery tender on a Vic is hit or miss. I bought both my Vics from the same dealer. The first didn't have a tender plug but the second did. Just another inconsistency.
