Welcome to iRyde.net.

If this is your first time visiting this site, allow me to give you a quick rundown about what this place is all about. So, here goes:

This site started as TheVOG.net and the initial focus was centered around Victory Motorcycles. As an expansion, we created www.iRyde.net as a new site with the focus on Can-Am's lineup of Spyder three-wheeled Trikes...or, more appropriately, Trykes!

For The VOG Members who are reading this post, don't worry, nothing is changing. The VOG is still here and other than some upgrades, no changes are planned for The VOG. We're simply expanding this site and hope to increase the size of our riding community. Here's a video on this topic:

Now, back to the new folks who may be visiting us for the first time: This site is a Social Network and not your typical website. Our motto has always been, "It Doesn't Matter What You Ride, As Long As You Make Friends Along The Way." Our goal has been to make this a site where All Riders Are Welcomed no matter which brand of bike you currently ride or what you may choose to ride in the future.

The way this site is structured, while there's a dedicated Can-Am Spyder Forum and it includes both a General Discussion and a Tech Q & A area, the most recent posts to the Forums will appear on the Front Page of this site. To get there just click the white Home link or the logo (on the upper left corner of every page) to jump to the home page.

Also note that this site is very Photo and Video friendly. If you're new to Social Networks, don't worry as there's a number of videos that demonstrate how to use various features. Just click the white Videos link and then click the Using The VOG image.

Allow me to add that this is a Free Site. While anyone can view anything on this site, to participate in the Forums, upload photos or videos or to become an Active Member, you will need to register by clicking the Sign Up link above the logo on the top of the page. Registration is easy and we don't ask too many questions. Like any site, we recommend that you take a moment and read the Terms and Conditions (the link is on the bottom of each page), but the basic rules are simple: Have Fun and Respect Others.

As a Registered Member, you'll have the ability to communicate with other Members through this site. And since I'm the Moderator here, anytime you have a question about the site, you can contact me as I'll be automatically placed in your friends list.

Yes, iRyde.net is a new entry to this site and the Forums are just getting started. So feel free to start a new Spyder topic on site or add to the current discussions.

Have Fun and Ride Safely,

Andy

Social network for people who like to ride.
This last trip we took we had Victory's, A triumph, and a Yamaha. they all went down the road the same. We had a great time. And nobody looked down their nose at anyone else for what they were riding.
Expand away Andy.
I look forward to seeing new people once they hear about the site.

So is it going to be a different site or something? I punched in that URL and it comes straight to here. Or am I just tarded?
That's correct! It's a site within a site. You'll see when you go to the Forums, there's a new category for Spyder threads.

Off topic though, what about apple's new 'magic mouse' since you used to be tech guy?

Andy,
I say great job on the growth of the sYte! Thebigger the forum gets the better for all involved. Victory will only get that much more exposure.

It's a wireless, Bluetooth, buttonless mouse. Kind of like having a wireless touchpad.

The one thing I don't like about any wireless mouse is the need to either change batteries or to recharge. It is cool though.

Very Cool Site Andy!!!

A friend told me about this site and I had to check it out. I've been reading your Blog and watching your videos and decided it's time to register. I've been watching your videos on all the Vics and they are great bikes. I was wondering if you are going to be producing any Vids on the Spyders? I used to watch you on NBC and enjoyed your shows. Especially the ones you did on motorcycles!!! The CES stuff was good too.

I have a Spyder RT on order and can't wait to get it. I'm coming from a Goldwing and looking forward to my first Trike. I did a test ride on the RS and while I liked it, the riding position was too forward for me. This new touring model should be exactly what I'm looking for.

So, please do some videos on it.

Hi SpyderRyder and welcome to TheVOG.net/iRyde.net.

Thanks for the kind words. To answer your question: Yes, videos are on the way. These things take time, but keep watching iRyde.net and you'll see some new ones posted shortly.

Until then, check out the Videos area of the site as we've added a Can-Am section that includes a number of other videos on the Spyder.

Your story sounds a lot like mine. Yes, I have an RT-S Premiere Edition on order and hope to see it in the near future. Like any new production model, I can only hope that it will roll off the line on schedule and they get it right the first time. Having been an early adopter of other bikes (and cars), there will most likely be some initial minor issues. If the factory handles the "sure to come" small issues in the same manner they handled the pre-buying questions with its Customer Service telephone and email support teams, I'll be a happy guy. After all, it was the timely and accurate response from Factory's Customer Service folks that sealed the deal for me.

While I know it will ride (or is it "Ryde"?) differently than the Vision I had previously or other bikes I've owned, for this stage in my riding life, it seems that this could be the right bike for me at this time.

I guess we'll find out.

FYI, iRyde.net will operate just like TheVOG.net in that, we call 'em as we see 'em here and if you have something great to say about your new Spyder, tell us about it. But if you find something that could use some work, post that info here as well. I've been in communication with various folks at BRP over the past few months and they seem like they want and welcome our input.

We do have some unwritten rules here and the first one is that when you get a new bike, or in this case, trike, post some pictures in the Gallery and insert them into a forum thread. If you're adding any accessories or mods, it will be show and tell time! We have a Video in the How To section that shows you how to accomplish this task. While the first couple of times you post an image, it may seem confusing, trust me, after using it a couple of times, it will become second nature.

So, as we like to say around here: Pictures, Please!

Keep us posted on your new Ryde and when you get it, let us know about your initial impressions.
