Ok, for all of you audio heads out there. I am not interested in changing out my head unit as I only use the ipod connection for my music.

I have already swapped out the factory speakers for a set of Kicker 6.5" coaxial speakers and lined the inside with Dynamat. I would like to get more bass out of the system as the highs seem to over ride everything.

Again, I really don't want to change out the head unit, but adding an amp or some subs to the fairing would not be a problem.

For those of you that have done this, what did you use and what were the results? For what it's worth, I listen to ALL kinds of music but most of the time on the bike it is hard rock or 70's funk!

Thanks for the help and insight!

For those who do not want to spend much try ear plugs, the cheap foam ones. It knocks out all the environmental noise the stereo sounds way better. I was going to upgrade my systems till I put the plugs in. Saved me a bunch of coin.

I would prefer a little more base but outside of that the plugs are like magic.

O ya...ear plugs are the best...the only way to go...why would anyone waste all that money on aftermarket head units....amps....speakers...processesors....complete waste of time and money....

Just go out and buy a pair of 10 dollar ear plugs and be done with it...:22yikes: :brick: :buttkick:

OK.
at speed, you'd be surprised how much of a difference cutting down the low buffet makes on how the stereo sounds....

Better speakers n amps certainly makes a huge difference, but many have been surprised at how their stereos sound with the addition of a CFAD, whether mine or the bad ace one.
