I have done a search and not alot comes up on amsoil.

I have used amsoil in the past in all my bikes including a bmw and mostly metric cruisers with no issues

So the short question is the Victory genuine oil as good or better than Amsoil?

Yes the oil debate continues LOL

Victory oil is a blend of dino and synth. Not a full synthetic oil.

People have reported clutch slip w/Amsoil. I use it but I have an upgraded clutch.

"I have done a search and not a lot comes up on amsoil" BULL.....F*CKING.....SH*T Lol. Now that we got that out of the way. The Victory oil works great. 10-40 or 20-40 JASO-MA rated full synthetic oils work great. Amsoil 20-50 V-Twin oil with friction modifiers...ie Amsoil for Harleys makes Victory clutches slip.

Walmart had a special on oil its 10 w something or another... anyway its in a black plastic bottle with a lightning bolt thingy on the label. Can I use this in my Victory Hammer? do I need to change the oil completely or can I just add a little now and then?

I think you slightly understated that point.

Oil threads have pretty much been beaten to death on most motorcycle forums. Bottom line Amsoil is fine, just get the 10-40 MC oil without friction modifiers. Or the Vic oil. Or another JASO-MA rated oil. That's what works for wet clutches. A lot of oil designed for Harley is 20-50 and has friction modifiers. That is what makes Vic clutches slip.

Oh I wanted to stay out of this but I gotta disagree with you Bob. The Amsoil you listed is exactly what I used and my clutch started slipping so bad I couldn't maintain 50mph up a hill. Trust me I really wanted it to work but there was no way. Seems to be a 50-50 shot if it will work for a Vic. I use Amsoil in my other vehicles but my bike didn't like it.
So just pay attention if you do try it. Hopefully it works for you. Unfortunately it doesn't for me.

Dangit! I wanted to be the one to start the next oil thread...

I like the Victory oil because it says Victory on the container.
