I own a 2017 Victory Octane and I installed a Tachometer. As soon as I installed it the digital internal tach stopped working. I that normal or should both of them work?

Also I ran the tach up to the shift light and it fell back to zero for a few minutes then started working again? Any ideas what happened there..

2013 Crossroads - In the last 1,500 miles on two separate occasions, the Tachometer has suddenly not kept accurate RPM reading (as compared to the digital tach gauge in the speedo) It reads low, the needle quivers, and once it died completely, no movement at all. I turned the bike off, restarted, and the thing read perfectly. Any idea what's going on? Bike has 16,000 miles. Thanks!

Sounds to me like a loose connection somewhere. Could be even a loose connection inside the tach.
