imageedit_3_4597135998.jpg Installed a set of 1500 lb Summo Springs on my Tundra. They are actually not springs but polymer coils that replace the rubber stops on top of the rear axle. They don't hit the frame until it is loaded so it rides normally empty. Supper easy to install. Here's what the truck looks like with a 600 lb motorcycle and a RV that normally ads 700 lbs of tongue weight plus 50 gallons of fresh water in the front tank

I started my install with a bright sunny day. Quickly the weather started to turn but with my beach umbrella I kept working. I got the wench plate installed but then it unleashed hell and I had to surrender. The wench is in place but needs to be mounted and wired up. Hopefully it lets up soon.

    Wife Missing?

The first thing a grieving husband should do...CALL THE SHERIFF!!!

Husband..... My wife of 15 years is missing. She went shopping

yesterday and has not come home.

    Sheriff......... Height ?

Husband..... I'm not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

    Sheriff......... Weight ?

Husband..... Don't know. Not slim, not really fat.

    Sheriff......... Color of eyes?

Husband..... Sort of brown I think. Never really noticed.

    Sheriff......... Color of hair?

Husband..... Changes a couple times a year. Maybe dark brown

    now. I can’t remember.

Sheriff......... What was she wearing ?

Husband..... Could have been pants, or maybe a skirt or shorts. I

    don't know exactly.

Sheriff......... What kind of car did she go in?

Husband..... She went in my truck.

Sheriff......... What kind of truck was it ?

Husband..... A 2018 Brilliant Grey Ford F-150 Limited 4X4 with 5.3 V8 engine ordered with the

custom bar and fridge option, led lighting, backup and front camera, Moose hide

leather heated and cooled seats, climate-controlled air conditioning. It has a custom

matching white cover for the bed, Weather Tech floor mats. Trailing package with gold

hitch, sunroof, DVD with full GPS navigation, satellite radio, Cobra 75 WX ST 40-channel

CB radio, six cup holders, 3 USB port, and 4 power outlets. I added special alloy wheels

and off-road Toyo tires. It has custom retracting running boards and under-glow wheel

    well lighting.

At this point the husband started choking up.

Sheriff:...... “Take it easy sir, we'll find your truck!!!”

I found a pic of my old truck. It was my first full size. 04 F-150 FX4 with a six inch lift running 35 Toyo Open Country wrapped around some MotoMetal wheels.

I certainly liked it but being that high had some drawbacks. I like my current setup more.

@jwfuchs1 certainly you have something to add. Maybe a pic of your custom grill after being worked on by a hog or peeked on by a turkey?

All you big tuff guys with your big tuff trucks....big damn deal:angel4:. Just because mine is not functional for towing anything bigger than a small motorcycle trailer, can't carry a effing 2 x4 safely and only gets about 6-8 MPG with the 6.0 liter heavy chevy; but it is cool dammit and fun to drive. The retractable hard top lid comes down and with the big ole premium Bose sound system this baby gets all kinds of attention from the chickadees.

Chevy only made this for a few years and like our Vics plunged in resale value, up until a few years ago. Mine is very low mileage though and now worth more than double what I paid for it. Yeah anything but drive train parts are a pita to get but luckily haven't needed much.

Now that my truck is done how I wanted I think it's time to start planning some fun stuff for our Jeep.

    The list!
    • 2 inch lift kit is $475 and a three hour job so that's a no brainier.
    • Luggage rack with basket of course.
    • Maybe some pod lights just behind the hood.
    • Wench bumper kit.
    • Maybe a snorkel but the thing is $1200 so that's a big maybe.
    • I almost forgot Rock Sliders! That way when the wife drives off another driveway she's better protected.
Most of that stuff isn't badly priced and I can do the install.

    I'm thinking something like this.

Yesterday I ordered a Jay Greene Racing tune to be installed on my 14 ram hemi via my Diablo I3 Platinum tuner. Excited to get the email back should be today, $225 for the tune I would say isn't bad.
