This has definitely piqued my interest. I liked the looks of the Rivian R1T, but this Ford Lightening is somn else. I am impressed.

I picked up a 2018 Silverado 1500 back in late March. Grabbed a trailer to match. I almost bought an Audi Q5. I think I made the right choice.

The wife got me some lights. I think they fit that spot really well.

My OCD says to align them properly...

    What's your address?

That's me, not them. It was bright and I couldn't see the screen of my phone very well. Turns out I wasn't exactly even snapping the pics. I did a ballpark alignment on my garage door and will dial them in tonight to get them pointed where I want.

I have the ones on the bike pointed slightly outward. This should help light up the sides and also it gets the light off the fork deflectors which annoys me.

Just got home from the gym and was playing with them on the way home. They are BRIGHT! Really bright like your headlights don't feel like they're on bright. For $85 bucks I'm digging them big time.

So a gripe I have had with the Jeep is when backing in the dark the reverse lights and small mirrors make it difficult at times. A few weeks back I was at a friends out in the sticks on a moonless night under heavy tree cover. I was trying to back down their driveway using only a small light on the house as a reference point. On the side of the driveway was a black car that was barely off the drive. On top of that it had bushes in front and beside that were taller than it was making it impossible to see. Well so sure enough as I was creeping backwards the Jeep just stopped. I was going so slow I didn't feel a bump or anything.....I just stopped. I opened the door and was shocked that I had just barely caught the car.

Well that got my arse in gear and I decided it was time to do what I was planning on since the beginning and add some bright backup lights. Being impressed with the set I put on the front I went with the same brand, Auxbeam. This time a cube light complete with harness. I bought some mounts and wanted to mount them inside the tubular rear bumper. My hope was to tuck them away and protect them. Overall it worked like I wanted. I can not wait to go back to that friends house and try them out.

I was going to wire them into the reverse light circuit but then though it would be nice to have them on their own switch so I can use them whenever I want a bit easier. Plus I do not need them to backup most of the time.

So yesterday the wife and I drove down to Freeport and drove every drivable beach in the TJ. It was a good day and the Jeep did well. The wife has never done any off-roading and was at times pretty nervous. Not that we did anything crazy. I'm not sure she'll survive Moab.

This guy also was driving around blasting tunes.

We also went over to San Luis Pass which by far had the best conditions to fully use four wheel drive. Went through some water and put the Jeep through the thickest powdery sand. We also simply parked for awhile and watched people in 2WD vehicles try and drive through the thick stuff and stick it. A couple guys were pulling them out constantly. In one picture below you can see a blue truck in the background. It's lifted with off road tires..... and it's 2WD..... But it looked nice while being stuck in the sand. Lol!

Then the best shots. The Jeep was filthy. I found a good puddle close to home to start the clean and get the undercarriage before Stopping by car wash to spray it off. It was a nice day.

I don't want to and will never understand, why Polaris couldn't even still make only one base model Victory, yet they still make those damn things. I'll forever hold a grudge against the SlingShot Lol

Honestly I see more Slingshots than I ever have Vics. Sadly. I see at least a couple a week.

And the Jeep is a blast. I knew I would enjoy it but I never thought I would fall in love with it like I did. It's just a joy to drive.
