Check your states laws. Some states, at least used to, have a kind of law protecting a buyer from such things happening in a short period after a sale. Even for private sales. You might be able to get 50% paid for repairs or even returned. Worth a look or call to a lawyer. Good luck and sorry because that sucks.

Not saying the seller is a bad person, but it sounds like the tranny granaded. I don't think this is something that you can really foresee, maybe expect it to happen if you don't take care of it. Unless it was sabotaged or something, contact the seller first maybe and try to work it out this way first, but I expect it won't be so easy. How does he/she know you weren't doing something really dumb or stupid to cause the failure. It's a slippery slope for sure.

So is it still stuck in Nuetral? Where is oil leaking from, a crack in the engine case, the shifter seal, the primary gasket or somewhere else?

Well it says neutral on the dash, and that’s how I drove it down the driveway Looks like oil was dripping from above (back by the oil filter, up and to the right)

Need a lot more information. Maybe some pictures of the oil leak?
I see you've visited the "C" clip thread, that was my first first thought but your post or profile doesn't mention what year the bike is..
Bought a '13 Judge with the same issue but no oil leak, bought an engine/trans package out of a '15 Gunner and haven't mustered the motivation to split the cases on the original motor yet but it sounds like the "C" clip is the culprit. From what the previous owner told me the problem was abrupt with no warning. So, it's hard to know if your seller knew there was a problem or not.

So I can only get the **** lever to go down into first(or whatever gear it’s going into) and only up into neutral. I make sure the bike rolls, then start with clutch engaged. Slowly let off clutch and motor sounds like marbles flinging around inside
    I’m thinking I’m PHUKKED

just sitting, you will not be able to get into 2nd or any other gear. You need to be running down the road to shift into 2nd, 3rd, etc.

You said there was an oil leak. Did you determine where that was coming from? Is there oil in it? Maybe drain the oil and check for metal shavings/flakes?

Due to the OPs lack of information, I'm not entirely convinced that he's not some Harley Fanboy that just got his ass handed to him on the interstate and now came to our group to talk shìt on our bikes. :hihi::hihi::hihi:.

No but seriously man, that really sucks. Some more pictures and info would be helpful though, it may not be as bad as you think it is.

Your first post and you’re very short on details so yea, this entire thread is suspicious. The ‘oil leak’ sounds like the crankcase vent hose could have popped out of the connection on top the crankcase.
Can you start the bike, let it idle and then lean it to the right and the left? If so, do you hear what sounds like a chatter with gears?
