Love SRV & got to see him work his magic up close once-it was an experience.
Here's my favorite SRV clip, just a simple sound check :)

Those of us that saw him live are fortunate. I have seen that clip many times. If he has the number 1 in his hands it will be extra special.

Went to see Aerosmith on their Draw the Line tour 8-4-1978 and AC/DC with Bon Scott was the opening act. They opened with Bad Boy Boogie and I knew it was going to be a great show. Aerosmith could have stayed home and I'm not sure anyone would have noticed. To this day and I've seen a lot of concerts, the energy and show AC/DC put on is unmatched. Bon would be dead two years later.

    I've seen Aerosmith five times.

No doubt about the AC/DC energy. It was either late fall of 79 or early 1980 I was in Terminal Management at Roadway Express in Kalamazoo, MI. I was listening to the rock station in Grand Rapids when they were interviewing Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon. He was absolutely glowing over their opening act and predicted great things for them in the U.S. Then they played a track of AC/DC and I was hooked. Sadly Bon passed soon afterward. However in 1981 while living in Toledo they started The Toledo Speedway Jam and it was no more than a mile down the road where I lived. A whole day event with 4 bands which included the Red Rocker Sammy Hagar and final act was ZZ Top. But the one in between who captured the audience was AC/DC Back In Black tourer with Brian Johnson. Anyway the song Kevin Cronin had the station play is still a AC/DC fav of mine.
