    Only Polaris would kill Victory.

Victory Motorcycles has most certainly been killed, by Polaris. As a brand, it was murdered by its creator. That doesn’t mean my particular one is. In fact, I’d like a second Victory someday.

My point is that only a collection of fools (Polaris Industries) would kill something they created called Victory.

Indian will never see my garage either. I have to be in need badly of a new bike and I’m not thankfully. I spent 16,900 each on both my bikes. Why on earth would I spend over 30 large on something that doesn’t perform as well or is as easy to take care of.

Victory was just the unfortunate casualty of a business decision regardless of how good we all know that product was. 1. Didn't appeal to Harley owners which were the main target group . 2. Cruiser riders are a dying breed whose motorcycle taste are of little interest to the next generation. 3 Todays economy will not allow Joe Average to fork out cash for this type of luxury as in the 2008 crash 4. E4 and 5 emission standards are not easily met by air cooled engines forcing manufacturers to run them lean thus hotter. (Even HD has liquid cooled the cyl heads of some models.) 5. Iconic brand names SELL regardless of quality . HD has proven this for years on end. That Kool-aid never loses its taste for their loyal following. Polaris recognised this with their acquisition of the Indian brand name. ( I personally hated this move as I new it was the start of the end for Victory) Do I hate Polaris? Not Really although I was extremely disappointed I still bought a second Vic immediately after hearing the discontinuation announcement. Would I ever by another Polaris product? Ya sure , I'm over the pain and own one of their ATV's and would by a Challenger if I were ever to buy another new bike which is very unlikely.

Victory is very much Alive and Well while we are riding them.
    Philosiphise all you like,
    Polaris dropped Victory.
    It's a fact...Accept it.

Elvis is dead, but he lives on every time we play his records.
    Victory will never die!
    While we still ride them.
Some will defect to the Injun and the Hog, and the Rice or the Beemer.

    Victory Riders will stay faithful.
    Time will tell the story.

There is still hesitation by some to buy a Vic . But they sell fast once listed. Hesitate and watch it disappear off the Kijiji listing or wherever. Likely more desirable now than they were before Polaris shivved the Vic brand.

    RIP Lemmy.

It was a mercy killing, like when that religious lady in Texas drowned her 5 kids to save them from a world of evil
