We can still get answers on it in this thread. I am wondering if maybe the General was to busy dodging his personal issues and took his eye off the ball with his covert operation there and in other places. I am also wondering if the attack was more against the CIA dirty tricks and smoke an mirrors there rather than just hitting the ambassador.

Not that our CIA would ever be shortsighted enough to make a blow back situation happen.

I do feel badly about the ambassador but I am left thinking. These guys are really pretty smart folks. If I were the ambassador and felt that my security was lacking, I would stay safe and locked up with protection. What made this person leave himself so open to attack. Isn't it very possible that he himself was part of underestimating the threat?

The Ambassador had been recieving threats.

He did not like the fact that security was reduced in the end of Aug.

The CIA being there had little to do with the 9/11 attack that took his life in fact seems their being there was the only hope he had in the end, many were saved who would have been murdered as well.

This administration has a lot to answer for.

The Gen resigning is big.

Let's see now.

A certain President was warned about a certain terrorist wanting to attack the USA on our soil and hiscomplacency cost us 3,000 civilian lives, over 3,000 military lives, and well over a Trillion dollars we don't have.
Just in the last few days additional information has come out about what he knew and when he new it.
So, how many years ago was that?

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the "final answer" you seek unless of course you can hold your breath for 10 years or more.

If your refering to 9/11 using jumbo jets hijacked as weapons of mass destruction I do not think we were warned about it.

I do know that the Port Authotity of NY and NJ did update security after the first IED attack making italmost impossiable for it to happen in that manner again.

There is already an inquery in motion on the Amdassadors murder so I do not think it will take 10 years before the questions will start being asked.

The White House did manage to avoid it and the shots fired on a unarmed drone by Iranuntil after the election.

As Ricky told Lucy "Thers some splaning to be done"

Should be an interesting Lame Duck presidancy

Yeah, too bad Clinton cancelled us from taking OBL out while he was in office. Then Bush wouldn't have had to deal with that. But we were trained, ready to go and old Bill got cold feet and cancelled the mission. The rest is history.

This is just one of the times Bill Clinton had the opportunity and didn't take it even though he knew OBL was gaining power and was indeed a threat to the US. We missed many opportunities. Its not a fairy tale but the truth.

What you, and I, have posted is proof that it will be years, maybe a decade before the CIA fesses up.

I do not care what the CIA was up to.

The ambassador was threatned and murdered.

Obama needs to explain why security was reduced and whyno help was sent.

"But one also finds in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak (e.g. Bigfoot)to want to bring the strong down to their level, and which reduces men to preferring equality in servitude (to the Tyrant) to inequality in freedom". As stated in: Democracy in America - Alexis de Tocqueville (1835).

Or this one
"I cannot help fearing that men may reach a point where they look on every new theory as a danger, every innovation as a toilsome trouble, every social advance as a first step toward revolution, and that they may absolutely refuse to move at all.""
