ok, i'll say it.... so Buell has gone from using Sportster motors in their original bikes to building a Sportster of their own?
i dunno, i liked the direction they were headed eons ago with the Rotax motors and more sportbike or naked bike look, thinking the XB series....
i dunno... the numbers might be different but you could slap a Harley logo on that tank and nobody would know any different... At least the other Buells looked like their own bike...

Sadly, it’s a Buell. Historically that means it’s an 80% well designed bike that will have little to no support and they’ll be bankrupt within a few years.

The Buell cult following seems to get smaller with each iteration lately. Bummer too, because the man does (did) have some great ideas.

I've owned 4 Buell tube frame bikes, (still have2) with the new Buell having a 54.5 wheel base and the good suspension it should corner like a bandit.
Different rear fender and tank I could make it look a damned sight better.
But the motor is so fugly! Just because you can make castings lighter by finite element analysis and vacuum casting doesn't mean you should abandon esthetics in the search for less weight. Put the casting ribs on the inside.
I'm sure it would be a great bike to ride, and fits in with the general lines of club style Dynas, but it's an ugly motor.
I look at the frame and see its lineage, Norton Commando to FXR, FXR to this.
