I am starting this thread in hopes of getting word out to as many people as possible. If you have children or grandchildren old enough to use the internet, I highly advise you rethink allowing them to use YouTube. I have already sent this information to family members. Those that have had a chance to watch the video are completely astonished. It's beyond believe that this is taking place right in front of our eyes. What amazes me more is how bold YouTube is when it comes to trying to silence those attempting to get the word out.

Since the Vegas shooting happened, I've been watching this guy on YouTube who is an independent journalist. He has a channel called "EndTimesNewsReport". He posted a video on YouTube a couple of days ago that exposes how YouTube is appealing to pedophilia rings and the such.

Well YouTube pulled his video down as it truly does expose them for the kind of content they not only allow, but promote. It's a VERY tough watch to say the least, but the guy is very good at what he does. He's even brought down sickos out in CA in the past. In any case, he posted a copy of the video on an alternative platform that does not sensor. If you get a chance, check this out and share it with others. The video is close to an hour long: How Pedophile Rings Target Children On YouTube

Here's an 8-minute video he posted earlier today on YouTube explaining the situation. I'm sure this will be gone within 48 hours or less and would not be surprised if his channel is completely shutdown soon:

Please share this and get the word out. I'm hoping that one of the major news networks will pick this up and run with it, but something tells me that will never happen in these sickening times and very sad days.

First and foremost, it should go without saying that anyone with a conscience should be against this sort of thing. Same deal for twitter leaving up isis recruitment accounts. Call me idealistic maybe, but I just don't want to believe this type of stuff is as prominent as a lot of people suspect. I have an open mind, so I'm not dismissing it, but I'd like to believe that this type of stuff is allowed to go on, similar to isis recruitment and other terrible things, because it's used as a honeypot of sorts by the FBI or whateverver alphabet agency deals with this stuff.

I personally believe they leave **** like this up to lure would be criminals into outing themselves similar to a prostitution sting you see on cops. I think that sort of stuff goes on online and it has thwarted many terrorist attacks and other things. Again, just a theory of mine, but when people bring attention to this sort of stuff, it might get shut down because it interferes with sting operations. AT LEAST THATS WHAT I HOPE. I'm not completely jaded by the world just yet and am holding out hope that there are still good people in the world. But that very well could just me being nieve, but I'll take it at this point. Like that dude in the matrix says, ignorance is bliss.

I hope you're right, but personally doubt it. Particularly the part about silencing those that point this crap out due to ongoing sting operations. After all, in the YouTube world, this guy is very small beans with around 100k subscribers. Anything is possible, but if you manage to make it through that first hour long video, you will know that YouTube itself creates and promotes extremely sketchy content. Why? Money, money, money...money.

Well, I will admit that I posted before watching the video, but tbh, the thread title is kind of a deterrent to watching it. Having said that now, my post was a little off base as to the content of this particular video, however, I'll still stand my theory above in an unrelated context.

Also, I couldn't agree with you more about YouTube after the money. Having twin 4 year olds, it's really eye opening to me as a parent and wanting to raise my kids as I see appropriate. I try to shield them from a lot of things that they will be exposed to in due time, and when they are exposed to certain things, they will certainly have a choice on how to think and feel about certain things, but I'd like to talk to them about these things so at least I will have done my job as a parent to raising them and guiding them on the right path, ultimately it will be up to them.

Back to the subject at hand. They learn a lot from kids content on YouTube channels as well as nickelodian and Disney and whathaveyou. Most parents assume it's harmless, but sometimes, not all the time, I pay attention and they'll throw something subtle if not outright brazen against what I feel a 4 year old should be exposed to. So if you're not keeping up on this stuff, you can't be surprised when they're in their teens and you're wondering where you went wrong with your kids. It's a constant job protecting them from both injury and the evils of society that will try to corrupt their thinking. Be it profit motivated and perhaps more sinister depending on what their exposed to.

Case in point. I rarely let my kids eat fast food. As far as I'm concerned they can have as much as they want when their older and their body isn't in such a critical state of development. So they don't know about the playgrounds there, the Ronald mcdonald ****, happy meal with toys, or at least they shouldn't know about it. But they do from their stupid little YouTube channel Ryan. Ryan is basically a child star YouTube sensation for those who don't have toddlers or adolescents. His parents film him playing with the latest and greatest toys that the corporations are paying his parents to have him endorse the product and how fun and great it is. One of the things is McDonald's and the kid goes on and on about snack time and how he can't wait for mcdonalds...

Well, anyway, this is completely beside the point of the op so I'll digress, but it's probably obvious how strongly I feel about this sort of stuff and I can go on plenty about it all. Sorry to hijack your thread, I didn't mean to.
Actually I find your post above to be spot on and not a hijack of any kind. Thanks for sharing and I hope others stay as vigilant as you and yours. I tried to like your post after creating this reply and suddenly I do not have permission. Hopefully they're just working on the site and not censoring this thread.

Lol, I just deleted it cuz I read it and was like, woah, that's probably not at all what this thread was supposed to be about :rofl3:

But that's cool. As the op, you can decide what message you want to convey and whether or not it's been hijacked, so I'm glad I wasn't out of line, but yes I appreciate the kind words.

Again back to the subject at hand. You know how YouTube has those suggested videos on the side bar or bottom of page. My kids were once browsing YouTube channels (family friendly) and they stumbled upon some crazy nasty ****. It was a cartoon, but it was like Cinderella bleeding from her eyes and other kinds of content that shouldnt be recommended. I think some are trolls looking to give kids nightmares just because they're sorry individuals as most trolls are. The internet is not good for kids. All kinds of psychos out there.

Yeah I do know about those suggested videos. That's one of the points made in that hour long (very tough to watch) video I referenced in my OP. I completely agree that the internet is no place for children. I can't imagine how much work it must take to keep your kids from viewing or accidentally running into shady content. Obviously you can't help what happens when they visit a friends house for a sleep over or something. Who's to say those parents are as on top of it as you and yours? It's not like everyone can afford a good hardware security appliance for home and obviously not everyone would know to configure one anyway.

I'm in IT and have been my entire career. Most businesses that I frequent and far too many schools (based on what I've heard from others in IT that support schools) do not prevent people from visiting YouTube. Now knowing what I know, I believe that this needs to change.

Progress is being made! Advertisers are pulling their ads because of the sick crap that Google/YouTube allows. Go figure, as soon as their pocketbook is impacted changes start to be implemented. It's very sad that this is what it takes to make these much-needed changes.

I am extremely hopeful that whatever they implement will prevent some of these sickos from creating shared playlists and insanely disturbing comments. Better yet, how about preventing the content from being shared with the public to begin with. If you're stupid enough to upload that kind of content, I hope YouTube will force it to be kept private and only viewable by the account that uploaded it.
